Founder

I have over 10 years' experience in the health industry. As a critical care nurse, my primary focus is providing quality care to some of the regions sickest patients. Driven by the desire to make a positive impact on their lives, I regularly contemplate innovative ways to enhance their well-being.

My Motivation

I once cared for an elderly lady who spent 3 days on her toilet floor with a broken hip. She simply tripped making a dash to the toilet in the middle of the night. She suffered with excruciating pain waiting for someone to find her. Tragically, her emergency alert button rested on her bedside table, untouched. She had a loving and supportive family; completely unaware that something unfortunate had happened. Suffering from severe dehydration, her kidneys failed, and she passed away the following day.

Over the years I have met countless others who have found themselves in similar unfortunate situations. Many of them require a prolonged hospital admission. Sadly, some of them do not survive. Vulnerable people come from all walks of life, and behind them are friends and family that worry endlessly about their well-being.

The Product

Over the past 12 months I have collaborated with Appetiser, a leading tech company in Australia, to create an app aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families. This intersection of healthcare expertise and technology has helped me to advance patient care beyond traditional boundaries. Unlike other products, KeepSafe aims to be easily accessible, affordable, and responds to inactivity, whilst respecting user lifestyle and privacy. KeepSafe is in its infancy, however I am confident it can make a positive impact in the world.
